Spencer Richard

Congratulations to Heidi and Amos who welcomed their new son, Spencer Richard, on Monday. He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and is 22 inches long. My kids are so excited to have a new cousin. We can't wait to squeeze him and kiss his cute cheeks.

Tonsils

Monday was a big day at our house...Kyler got his tonsils and adenoids out. Nothing like a little major surgery to start your week off right. He did great during the surgery and has been recovering remarkably well. The hardest part has been trying to find things for him to eat. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. He has been such a trooper and is trying so hard to be tough. I will be thrilled when his 10-14 day recovery is over. My sweet Mom came down for the surgery...it was so comforting and helpful to have her here. Thanks Mom!

Sun Valley

We spent a wonderful weekend in the fancy resort town of Sun Valley. We went with some friends and stayed in a condo for the weekend. We went sledding, ice skating, to a hockey game, and had a great time. It was so nice to get out and do something fun after being cooped up while pregnant and with a newborn. Millie was a dream the whole weekend. Here are our pics:

Happy Valentines

Here is my Valentines gift to you...a great free jewelry website. Maybe I am the only person that does not know about this - but if you don't here is the info. Some of the ladies that Dan works with told him about it yesterday. He showed me last night, and I have checked it several times today (another thing to check compulsively, just what I need). It is called silver jewelry club - apparently you don't have to join to get stuff. All you pay is $5.99 for shipping - so that is what everything costs. There are 4 pieces of silver jewelry shown at a time - and each item is only shown for 15 minutes - then a new item takes its place. You have to order the item during the time it is on the screen. The ladies that told Dan about it said they order things all the time and they are really good quality. I'm excited to try it.
Have any of you heard about this or used it?
What do you think?
How are the results?

Why Halle will make a Wonderul Mother....

Halle has turned into the best little Mother since Millie arrived. Whenever Millie cries, Halle drops everything that she is doing and runs yelling, "Millie needs me!" I love watching her nurturing insticts. Here is why I love having a girl:
Halle and I made play-doh snowmen yesterday (if you can tell by my creative abilities, this is me, Halle, and Millie depicted as snowmen). She insisted that we each had a purse, a bow in our hair, and was adamant that I make a diaper to put in my purse for the Millie snowman.
Halle is in charge of the diapers at our house. Yesterday I asked her to grab a diaper for me before we left...when I went to pick Millie up, her car seat was completely full of diapers. You can never be too prepared. Here is how Halle puts her babies down for a nap. Notice that each doll has its own pillow - in the form of a purse and its very own blanket. This is how Halle goes to bed evernight - with her bed full of babies. She has started calling them her sisters. (Yes the fruit loops are also a bedtime fixture. Please don't tell the dentist).

Oh Blast....

How many people are there in America? Is this really the best we can do? I'm a little bugged.

Will I Ever Learn?

As you can see, I am doing a great job of having Millie sleep in her own bed. If she wasn't so snuggly I would do a lot better at putting her in her crib. Am I setting myself up for punishment down the road? Yes. Do I care at this point? Not one bit.

Darling

Halle said, "Mom, I can wear these when my feet grow up."

February 4th

Today is Millie's official due date. I am so glad she was anxious to get here. She is such a sweetheart and I already can't imagine my life without her (neither can Kyler and Halle).
