Wonderful Wedding Week

In the words of my Grandma Sutton, the wedding was "utter perfection." It was quite possibly the prettiest wedding I have ever been to. The weather was perfect, the decorations were stunning, and the bride was beautiful! Everything was wonderful the entire day. Suzy and Todd were married in the Idaho Falls temple and had their reception that evening in an outdoor garden at the Loft in Rigby. It was so neat to have 6 kids from my family in the temple for the wedding (my other two brothers are 14 and 16, so we have a while before all 8 of us are there). At the reception, they had a light tent, gazebo, duck pond, you name it, they had it...It was beautiful. I lasted in my shoes for the pictures - and then randomly throughout the night. I would wear them in 10 to 15 minute shifts - and then go to my standby sandals. It was such a fun day and we are so happy to have Todd part of the family. Enjoy the pics:
Can you believe this picture? I'm seriously thinking about sending it to a bridal magazine - Gorgeous!
Halle looked as beautiful as the bride - This was my bridesmaid bouquet -so pretty! Handsome Kyler at the temple. Gracie, Kiersty and Halle all had matching dresses - getting a picture was a struggle. Clarissa made darling headbands for all three of them.

The gardens in the light.

What a cute family!

My sister Clarissa and I - we were honored Suzy wanted us old married women as bridesmaids.

What a feat! Perfectly coordinating all 22 of us in complementing colors. Not often do you get a sunset to match your wedding colors.

Suzy danced with my dad to "I loved her first." I literally had tears rolling off of my chin - so sweet.

Let the Festivities Begin!

My little sister Suzy is getting married this Friday! We are all excited for the big day. I am enjoying some time in Rexburg helping with the last minute plans. She is the jazziest person that I know and will make a beautiful bride. Let me explain how jazzy she is. She has asked me to be one of her bridesmaids - and I have a great new dress ( of which I will show off pictures later). As an illustration, here are the shoes that go with my outfit:

It Work's!

If you have been to my house, you have undoubtedly noticed this clock hanging in it's own special place of honor. I made this clock at a Relief Society Super Saturday and have been extremely proud of myself ever since. I was brimming with pride when I first hung it on the wall of my new house. There was only one small problem...it didn't work.

You see, apparently my clock craftsmanship is not that superior. The hands will work for 1/2 an hour - then then they get tangled up whenever they are directly across from each other. This might be a deterrent from some people proudly hanging it in their home, but not me. It has been on my wall for 6 months - never keeping time (what a classy lady).
All this changed two days ago. Dan took it apart and fixed it in the blink of an eye. I am proud to say that my clock has been telling the correct time for nearly 48 hours now. So from now on, if you come to my home, you will not have to comment that the time is not right. You can merely say, "Hilary, what a lovely clock, did you make it yourself?"

4th of July and Western Reunion

The Western Family was in town from Tuesday to Sunday for our annual reunion. We had a great time, spent a lot of time in the water, got plenty of sun, and loved being together. Thanks to Heather for all of her great planning - the reunion was a definite success.
Halle got the prize for enjoying the parade the very most. She waved at every single entry that went by. She said "Hi, horsie" a million times. We all loved watching her as much as the parade.

We enjoyed watching the fireworks on the CSI campus. They were amazing!

Hilary and Heather on the tube - one wild ride.

Dan and Ben on the tube - they even got thrown off.
Dan the Professional Wakeboarder.

I just have to document to the world that I can slalom waterski.
